This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating a few of our community partners who show love to their communities year-round:
● MarinCan
● Napa County Bicycle Coalition
● Solano Resource Conservation District
● Urban Tilth

This Valentine’s Day join us in celebrating organizations that bring light and love to our communities. No need for chocolates or roses – these four outstanding organizations have already captured our hearts with their impactful initiatives.

MarinCAN

MarinCAN is a community of activists, policy makers, and residents who are addressing climate change and creating a more equitable, resilient Marin. Their initiatives include reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing the community for climate change impacts while meaningfully addressing and integrating equity in Marin communities. Learn how MarinCAN recently partnered with MCE to deliver job training that connected underserved youth to green careers.

Napa County Bicycle Coalition

Napa County Bicycle Coalition aims to make biking accessible to all through advocacy, safety improvements, and education. Working closely with local communities and the county, they are helping to improve biking facilities and routes while engaging local residents with driver and cyclist education to improve roadway safety.

Solano County Resource Conservation District

Solano RCD’s mission is to protect the natural resources in Solano and surrounding areas. Their efforts include ecosystem restoration, watershed-based environmental education, and direct assistance to farmers and land managers to safeguard our natural resources.

Urban Tilth

What better way to spread love than with one of the most universal love languages – food! Urban Tilth is a Richmond-based nonprofit focused on improving access to healthy, sustainable food. Urban Tilth operates multiple community gardens to reconnect residents to the land with a focus on empowering youth to feed their community and engage in sustainable practices.

Thank you to these organizations and all the other wonderful organizations that are making a difference in our communities. Happy Valentine’s Day!
