San Rafael, CA 94901

A Certified B-Corporation, VenturePad is Marin County’s premier cowork community and business incubator that fills a need for affordable, accessible and professional coworking space and entrepreneur support services.

VenturePad, Marin’s new premier coworking community and entrepreneurship center opened on March 1 at 1020 B Street. Hosting over 150 entrepreneurs, work at home professionals, and non-profits, we offer open and dedicated desks, business services and meeting rooms at affordable member rates. We are committed to a carbon neutral and zero waste operation. We will model, teach and promote best sustainability practices. MCE’s Deep Green option allows us to minimize our carbon footprint relative to our energy use. This was a no brainer for us. The price/month differential from a non-renewal energy source was minimal and actually a lower cost when considering the real cost of fossil fuel or nuclear powered electricity generation. If you add the common cost of carbon pollution to the cost of natural gas generated electricity, it is actually a higher $/kWh than renewable sources.

I applaud MCE’s efforts to help Marin County use energy from 100% renewable sources. When we decided to go with deep green, I was very pleased to find out that it added only a few dollars to my monthly energy bill, even though I work from a home office. I’d like to encourage more Marin business owners to do the same. It’s very satisfying to be 100% green!
