Energy Savings for Multifamily Properties

Eligible multifamily property owners can receive up to $6,000 per unit, comprehensive assessments, and technical assistance for energy- and water-saving measures.

Eligibility

Your multifamily property:

  • must be located in MCE’s service area

  • must have 5 or more units

  • offers affordable housing or is a deed-restricted property*

    *Deed-restricted affordable housing refers to units that limit the rent or purchase price and require occupancy by low-income tenants for a set period of time. It is housing that has been registered to be exclusively affordable.

How It Works

Meet Our Partner

The Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) will guide you through the program and support you in increasing your buildings’ energy efficiency. AEA will conduct a site assessment of your property, help you develop a scope of work, and provide program assistance throughout the lifetime of your project. AEA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving energy efficiency in new and existing multifamily buildings, offering engineering, auditing, and training solutions.
