Bringing CCA to all nations!
MCE is proud to announce its participation in the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Taking place in Paris, France from November 30 – December 11, MCE Executive Director Dawn Weisz will be presenting and sharing how Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) has enabled the state of California to effectively address climate change by reducing energy related greenhouse gas emissions.
The United Nations Climate Change Conferences are yearly conferences held in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). They serve as the formal meeting of the UNFCCC Parties (Conferences of the Parties) (COP) to assess progress in dealing with climate change, and beginning in the mid-1990s, to negotiate the Kyoto Protocol to establish legally binding obligations for developed countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Mayor of the City of Richmond, CA, and MCE Vice Chair Tom Butt, and Director of LEAN Energy US, Shawn Marshall, will join Weisz. LEAN is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to the accelerated expansion and competitive success of clean energy CCA nationwide.
