Light Green 50% Renewable

MCE’s Light Green 50% renewable energy service procures energy for your home or business from renewable sources like solar, wind, bioenergy, geothermal, and small hydro.

If you live in Marin County, Napa County, unincorporated Contra Costa County, or the City of Benicia, Concord, Danville, El Cerrito, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Pinole, Pittsburg, Richmond, San Pablo, San Ramon, or Walnut Creek, your electric service is automatically enrolled in Light Green 50% renewable energy when you create an account with PG&E. No need to actively sign up to participate in 50% renewable energy; by default you can take advantage of cleaner energy, at competitive and stable rates.

You can also choose 100% renewable energy, 100% locally-produced solar energy, or 33% renewable energy for your electric generation service.

How MCE Works

MCE’s Electric Generation fees replace traditional PG&E fees with stable, affordable rates that are established by a board of locally elected officials. MCE’s current rates offer savings over standard PG&E rates and are absolutely transparent.
